Suter Science Center Renovation

Upgraded university labs built to serve next generations of students
The Eastern Mennonite University (EMU) Suter Science Center opened its doors in 1968. After 45 years and more than 3,500 science and math alumni trained in its spaces, the building’s well-worn labs were ready for an upgrade.
Colman Engineering developed site and utility plans for the renovation and expansion project, as well as stormwater facilities aligned with EMU's environmentally conscious approach.
They also designed a water main extension and a fire suppression line to support the building’s new sprinkler system, as well as a private gas line relocation to serve the building and its new backup generator.
With its upgraded facilities, EMU can continue raising up ethical, well-trained, globally minded graduates who make a real difference in their respective fields.
