Lakeview Hall Renovation

Renovated facility provides dynamic space for cross-disciplinary collaboration
Colman Engineering worked with JMU and Blue Ridge Architects to understand their goals for the project. They had to address fire flow requirements for the renovated building and its new sprinkler system, with completion and approval required within a month. Colman Engineering created plans for a water main extension, fire hydrant, and fire suppression line. They also developed a site improvements plan to address the water main construction impact on the site, as well as needed curb additions and entrance gate removal. Colman Engineering was able to facilitate interaction and agreement between JMU and local authorities, resulting in having the design approved for construction ahead of schedule.
