Designing the Brookhaven Birthing Center for a welcoming future
The proposed Brookhaven Birthing Center needed a comprehensive site design plan that aligned with the vision of Eugene Stoltzfus Architects and met Rockingham County’s requirements for approval and construction.
Colman Engineering collaborated with the design team and stakeholders to develop a tailored civil site design plan. Beginning with a feasibility and zoning analysis, the team conducted due diligence and created a detailed basemap of existing conditions. The conceptual design phase produced a preliminary site plan for approval, addressing site layout, utilities, and stormwater management.
The final design phase included a detailed site plan submittal, complete with entrance design for VDOT approval, landscaping, and erosion control measures. Post-design efforts ensured smooth permitting, submission of construction sets, and preparation of bond estimates for erosion and sediment control.
With this comprehensive approach, Colman Engineering provided a foundation for the Brookhaven Birthing Center’s welcoming and functional environment.
