Once a cornerstone of Harrisonburg’s thriving turkey industry, the historic Wampler Feed & Seed Co. has been revitalized to meet the needs of the modern era while preserving its rich history.
Colman Engineering provided essential civil engineering services to support this transformation, including site plan design, parking design, and utility improvements. The project included the installation of concrete pads and walkways, parking area repaving, underground utility lines (storm sewer, sanitary sewer, and water lines), regrading and resurfacing, and parking lot expansion. Additional design updates enhanced building features, walkways, and entrances while improving accessibility and functionality.
Through thoughtful site surveys, grading, and erosion and sediment control planning, Colman Engineering helped convert the historic structure into an accessible, modern workspace, offering much-needed office and clinic space for the Harrisonburg community.
