Grayson joined Colman Engineering as an intern in January 2023 and quickly became a valuable member of our team. Over the past two and a half years, he’s grown into a capable and thoughtful Civil Designer / Jr. Engineer, bringing honesty, curiosity, and a strong work ethic to everything he does.
From the beginning, Grayson stood out for his reliability and character. He asked smart questions, took initiative, and consistently lived out our values. He understands that civil engineering isn’t just about plans and permits; it’s about making the world a better place.

This summer, Grayson graduated from James Madison University with a B.S. in Engineering and is now headed home to Richmond. We’re sad to see him go, but we're incredibly proud of the professional he’s become and grateful for the time we’ve had with him.
As Grayson shared:
"I'm incredibly grateful for my time here. The mentorship, hands-on experience, and team atmosphere have had a lasting impact on me both professionally and personally. I’ve learned a great deal, grown in confidence, and appreciated the trust placed in me to take on meaningful responsibilities. Thanks to everyone who took the time to answer questions, offer guidance, and invest in my development. I'm excited to see what is ahead, and I'll always look back on my time here with appreciation."
To celebrate his last day, Tiffany arranged for a golf outing with Grayson and the interns. Everyone did great—Tiffany won, and Riley came in second!

Thanks to Tiffany for arranging for the golf outing and the celebratory Oreo cake afterward!

Grayson, thank you for everything. We’ll all miss you—and we’re cheering you on in all that’s ahead.
