Project Description Colman Engineering provided civil engineering services for the maintenance and repair of JMU’s canoe launch at the Hooke House Property.
The project included a site survey to map existing conditions and utilities, the development of a conceptual site plan, and the preparation of final construction documents, including grading, erosion and sediment control, and canoe launch specifications.
The Colman Engineering team’s design aligned with the project goals of minimizing environmental impact, addressing regulatory constraints, and preserving the natural integrity of the riverbank, enabling JMU to enhance this recreational amenity efficiently and sustainably.
