Job Opportunities: Civil Designer

​Colman Engineering is seeking a responsible, hardworking individual to serve as a Civil Designer. This individual will support our civil engineering staff with civil site, grading, and drainage design, and similar tasks. Previous design experience is preferred, but we can train an experienced drafter to achieve design abilities.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist the engineers with drafting conceptual, preliminary, and final site layouts
• Have an interest in learning and growth, to become proficient in site plan design and plan preparation
• Collaborate in a team environment
• Consult with engineers regarding design and drafting standards

Position Requirements

• High school diploma or GED; AutoCAD certification or college-level courses strongly preferred
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience using AutoCAD, Civil3D, or other CAD design software; professional Civil3D experience strongly preferred
• Demonstrated attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong verbal and written communications
