Job Opportunities: Civil / Site Engineer
Colman Engineering is currently seeking an experienced Civil / Site Engineer to join our team, focusing on land development projects in both the public and private sectors. This role involves planning, designing, and overseeing various aspects of site development, including site grading, erosion and sediment control plans, stormwater management, roadway design, and water and sewer infrastructure. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in civil engineering design, a commitment to quality, and a collaborative approach to working with clients, public officials, and multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities
- Design and prepare site layouts, grading plans, and erosion and sediment control plans
- Develop stormwater management solutions that comply with current regulatory requirements
- Design and coordinate water, sewer, and roadway infrastructure
- Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D to produce detailed design documents
- Work with project managers, clients, and contractors to ensure project milestones, quality standards, and budgetary goals are met
- Conduct site visits and inspections for project monitoring and quality control
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
- 4+ years of experience in civil/site engineering focused on land development projects
- 3+ years of experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification preferred
- Strong knowledge of grading, stormwater, erosion control, and utility design principles
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple projects
